Age Limitations
- Candidate must not be less than 18 years old as on 01.01.2019
- Candidate must not be more than 27 years old as on 01.01.2019
- For the SC/ST candidates of West Bengal only by 05 (five) years age relaxation
- OBC candidates of West Bengal only by 03 (three) years age relaxation
- Ex – servicemen, NVF and Home Guards Personnel (serving in West Bengal Police only) are also relax able as per existing Government Rules
- Age relaxation is NOT available to Civic Volunteers
Pay Scale Detail :
Following is the pay scale detail of West Bengal Police Constable Recruitment 2019
Rs. 5,400 – 25,200/- (i.e. Pay Band – 2) + Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-.
Education Qualification to Apply on Posts :
The Candidate who is willing to apply on these post must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.

Language Eligibility : –
- Willing candidate has the ability to speak, read and write the Bengali language.
- However, the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts are except from this provision
- For the applicant of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong District, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 will be applicable.
