Jammu and Kashmir province has announced 2700 police constable jobs, applications are invited from the interested and permanent residents of J&K candidates to apply for these jobs. All the related and important instructions are given in the official notification. Advertisement no. is given below.

According to the official notification the detail of vacancies is given below.
Constable: – 1350 Posts
Female Constable: – 1350 Posts (Permanent Residents)
Online Applications are invited From Permanent Residents (Female Candidates Only) of J&K State for the post of Constable in Two Women Battalions (One Battalion each in Jammu/ Kashmir Region) and eligible candidates for the Post of Constable for raising of Two Border Battalions one each in Jammu Province and Kashmir Province from 10 Border Districts of J&K State equally i.e. (Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bndipora, Leh and Kargil) residing within the radius of 0 to 10 Kms from International Border/ Line of Control/ Actual Ground Position Line/ Line of Actual Control (IB/LOC/APGL/LAC) against 1350 Vacancies (675 for the Districts Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri and Poonch and 675 for Barmulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Leh & Kargil) in Accordance with Provisions of Reservation Policy of State Government. Age Limitations:- (As on 01.01.2019)
Interested candidates have to fulfill the following age limit criteria to be eligible announced by the department.
- Minimum age limit should be 18 years of the applicants, less than 18 years candidates are not eligible to apply.
- Maximum age limit as per official notification is 28 years, candidates must not be greater than this limit
Note: However, in case of serving SPOs with a continuous period of engagement of Minimum three years and Voluntary Home Guards (VHGs) With a period of engagement of Minimum five Years, the upper age limit shall be 37 years and for Ex-Servicemen it shall be 48 years.
Basic Pay Scale :
The detail of basic pay scale according to the official notification is given below.
Pay Band -I Rs.5200-20,200 Grade Pay Rs.1900/-(Now Revised 19900-63200 Level-2).

Educational Qualification to apply :
Candidates who are willing to apply on these posts, should have passed the Matriculation (10th) Examination from any Government recognized Board by or Before the Last date for Submission of Application Form.
